TISD boasts a service area of over 3,000 square miles and a subscriber base of 9,900 customers. The acquisition will increase VTX1’s existing subscriber count to approximately 34,000 subscribers in the South Texas Region.

Nielsen & Co., a leading investment banking firm headquartered in Denver, announced today that it acted as financial advisor to VTX1 Companies in its acquisition of SOS Communications, a wireless internet service provider headquartered in Georgetown, Texas. SOS covers a service area of 3,500 square miles and a subscriber base of 2,800 customers. The acquisition will increase VTX1’s existing subscriber count to approximately 37,000 subscribers in the South Texas Region, elevating them to become one of the largest independently-owned internet service providers in Texas.
