DENVER – Jan. 16, 2007 - Ronald M. Barber has been promoted to senior vice president at W.G. Nielsen & Co., the Rocky Mountain region’s largest independently owned investment banking firm. W.G. Nielsen & Co. specializes in negotiating mergers and acquisitions and structuring creative finance solutions for privately held businesses. As senior vice president, Barber is a principal leader and decision maker for the company, secondary to the president and founder, Wayne G. Nielsen.

Barber joined W.G. Nielsen & Co. as a vice president in August 2002. As a serial entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in operations, sales and marketing, Barber has a keen knowledge of both the service provider and client side of financial transactions. Prior to joining the company, he was a partner at The Hauck Group, Inc. and served as president and CEO of Corybant, Inc., a company that develops data integration and workflow software. Barber was a founder of TomTec Imaging Systems, Inc. and served as executive vice president of sales and international operations. In addition, he held the roles of vice president of sales at Prism Imaging, Inc., and vice president at International Marketing Advisors, Inc.
Barber is been an active member of several professional organizations including CTEK Advisors, the Colorado Medical Device Association, and the Internet Chamber of Commerce.
He received an associate’s degree in political science from Palm Beach Junior College and an ASMT in Pathology from Bethesda Memorial Hospital/Florida Atlantic University. In addition, Barber has received his NASD Series 7 and Series 63 registrations.
